Only inter-Europe train service to Istria starts again

Daily train service to Istria starts again

The only inter-Europe train service into Croatia’s Istrian peninsula has started its daily seasonal service again.

The popular ‘Green Train’, which connects Pula with the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, will operate daily.

The train departs every day from Pula to Ljubljana with departure at 17.55, while from Ljubljana to Pula it departs the Slovenian capital at 6:00 and arrives in Pula around 10:45.

The Slovenian railways train is adapted to passengers from Slovenia, but also to other guests who come to Istria for holidays, writes Glas Istre.

Apart from passengers from other European countries, domestic passengers also board the train, as this is one of the few railway lines on the Istrian peninsula. In previous years, the train transported around three thousand passengers during the season from late April to late September.

The ticket is affordable and costs 20 euros when purchased in Ljubljana.
