Only Croatian Product on Harrods Shelves in London Wins Award

Golden Olive Oil, olive oil with pure gold leafs inside produced by Croatian company Kreativni laboratorij (Creative Lab), has been declared the 2013 Best Exclusive Product at this year’s Harrods Food Supplier Conference in London…
The Velika Gorica-based company, which specialises in manufacturing unique and handcrafted luxury and original Croatian products, signed an exclusive contract in September with London Harrods, one of the most luxurious and largest department stores in the world.
Golden Olive Oil is the only Croatian product currently available on the shelves at Harrods. Ancient Middle Eastern cultures believed that gold leafs had health-giving properties. Golden Olive Oil is infused with edible 24kt gold flakes and delivers delicate flavours of almond, asparagus and dried fruit, with a peppery finish. Only 444 bottles have been made and each comes in a lockable presentation box, retailing at £750 each.
