One of World’s Best Futsal Players Signs for Croatian Club

Brazilian Dovenir Domingues Neto, known simply as Neto, is one of the world’s best-ever futsal players, and on Wednesday his transfer to Croatian club FC Split Tommy was confirmed…
Neto (34) comes to Split after winning the World Cup with Brazil, 2 European titles, 3 Brazilian league titles, 2 Spanish titles and 3 Spanish cups. Neto also won the Golden Boot at the World Cup in 2012.
“I chose Split Tommy because the club believes in Brazilian players and Croatia is a country where the futsal scene is growing. I would like to thank Mr. Čaglj who believes in me and I will do all I can to return that faith. I want to find out what type of city Split is as I heard it is a nice city and a nice place to live which made my decision easier,” said Neto.
Neto will arrive in Split on 15 March.
