Nurse Creates Panic After Royal Python She Bought to Work Escapes

To the shock of her colleagues, the nurse in question turned up for her night shift at Zagreb’s KBC Dubrava hospital with a royal python in a basket. Panic later ensured after the snake escaped from the owner’s basket. Staff at the hospital, and police confirmed the almost unbelievable story to daily Jutarnji list.

“Imagine the feeling when you are working night shift, when no one is in the hospital but a handful of doctors, nurses and patients, and in your head you know that a snake may be hiding somewhere”, a doctor Jutarnji list, adding that he had no idea why the nurse bought the python to work in the first place.

The royal python is a popular pet, largely due to its typically harmless docile temperament. The nurse is currently on sick leave but will face disciplinary action when she returns to work said management.
