Macedonia v Croatia: “Only Victory Interests Me” – Stimac

The Croatian national football team flew out to Skopje from Zagreb this morning ahead of their important World Cup qualifying match against Macedonia on Friday night.

Coach Igor Stimac is a confident man and is only interested in one outcome tomorrow night. “We are going to Macedonia to get three points, only victory interests me,” said Stimac before the side flew out.

Croatian newspaper Jutarnji list reports that Stimac has yet to decide on his starting eleven for tomorrow night’s match, and there may even be the odd surprise or two.

“I have not decided who will run out on the pitch. Sammir? Maybe I will surprise you ha, ha..”, laughed Stimac.

Croatian Football Federation President Davor Suker is also confident ahead of the match. “We have to beat Macedonia and Wales. These 6 points are more than needed for a calm continuation of the qualifying campaign,” said Suker.
