Luka Modrić wins 2018 Best Playmaker in the World award

ZAGREB, Nov 30 (Hina) – The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has given Croatia captain and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modrić the Best Playmaker in the World Award.

Modric led the rankings with 272 points, leaving behind Barcelona’s Lionel Messi with 128 points and Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard with 114 points.

IFFHS associates from 90 countries took part in the voting.

Modrić also won the UEFA’s Best Player of the Year Award and FIFA’s ‘The Best’ award for Player of the Year. He was also first on GOAL’s 50 annual list and is the favourite to win the 2018 Ballon d’Or.
