Lufthansa further reduces number of weekly flights to Croatia

Lufthansa

ZAGREB, 11 September 2020 – German airline Lufthansa has reduced traffic to four Croatian airports, with the same number of flights retained to Zagreb Airport only, Croatian Aviation reports.

Lufthansa will continue to operate to five Croatian airports until the end of September – Zagreb, Pula, Zadar, Split, and Dubrovnik – but certain departures were canceled on almost all routes. Compared to August, the company will have 14 flights less per week to Croatia.

Dubrovnik

The Frankfurt – Dubrovnik service will operate twice a week until the end of September, on Saturdays and Sundays, which is one less flight per week compared to August (canceled flights on Wednesdays).

The Munich – Dubrovnik service will operate 4 times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Canceled flights on Saturdays.

Split

The Frankfurt – Split service will operate 3 times a week, every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday flights have been cancelled.

The Munich – Split service will operate 4 times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, until the end of September, while the flight on Fridays is canceled.

Pula

The Frankfurt – Pula service will operate 2 times a week, on Fridays and Saturdays. The flights on Mondays are cancelled.

The Munich – Pula service will operate once a week, on Saturdays. Flights on Sundays are canceled.

Zadar

The Frankfurt – Zadar service will operate 2 times a week, on Saturdays and Sundays. Flights on Wednesdays are cancelled.

The Munich – Zadar service will operate once a week, on Saturdays. The airline will have the same number of weekly flights on this route as it was during August.

Zagreb

The Munich – Zagreb service will operate 5 times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Lufthansa will keep the same number of weekly flights on this route as it was during August.

The Frankfurt – Zagreb route is not in operation and the company does not plan to launch it until the summer schedule next year. The flights on this route are operated by Croatia Airlines and Lufthansa has them on sale due to a code-share agreement between the two companies.

“Until the end of September, Lufthansa will offer 48 flights a week on its 9 routes to Croatia. The company has not yet finalised its flight schedule for October, but we can expect that there will be further cancellations on the routes to the mentioned airports in Croatia,” Croatian Aviation says.
