‘Lijepa li si’ Voted Croatia’s Official EURO 2016 Song

‘Lijepa li si’ has convincingly won the vote to find Croatia’s official supporters song for EURO 2016…

Last week the Croatian football federation let fans vote on a selection of 10 songs to find the tune that will be blasted from stadiums in France before each of Croatia’s matches. The song will be played before the teams come out for the national anthems.

‘Lijepa li si’ collected 80% of more than 27,000 votes received.

The next 5 most popular tunes, which will be played by UEFA as ‘celebration songs’ after a win, will be: ‘Uvijek vjerni tebi’, ‘Samo je jedno’, ‘Neopisivo’, ‘Srce vatreno’ and ‘Moja domovina’.

UEFA are giving fans a chance to come up with a slogan for the team bus. More details here.

Croatia are in group D with Spain, Czech Republic and Turkey. They start the tournament against Turkey in Paris on 12 June.
