Legendary Man U Keeper Peter Schmeichel in Zagreb Parading UEFA Champions League Trophy

Schmeichel is in town as an ambassador for the UEFA Champions League trophy tour, which stopped off in the Croatian capital today. Former Croatia international Goran Vlaović joined the former Manchester United stopper as they paraded around the famous cup. The trophy, which has earned its nickname ‘big ears’ because of the shape of the trophy’s handles, is on display on Zagreb’s ban Jelačić square until Sunday.

The trophy tour started on 26 September and has visited Bratislava and Vienna so far. After Zagreb the tour makes its way to Belgrade. The tour includes an exhibition as well as plenty of interactive activities and competitions.
