Kovac Brothers Start Croatia Coaching Career With Win Over Italy


Former Croatia football captain Niko Kovac has started his coaching career in Croatia with a win. Kovac’s Croatia U-21 side, who he is in charge of with his brother Robert, made easy work of Italy in a Regional Cup competition in the Croatian town of Umag yesterday, winning 3-1. “That is how you play for Croatia. I am very happy with the performance and how we played,” said Kovac after his debut on the bench.
