Kostelic Victorious In Slovenia

Champion Croatian skier Ivica Kostelic has won the World Cup slalom in Slovenia on Sunday. Kostelic won by 0.19 seconds ahead of Austrian Marcel Hirscher with a run of 1.45.81 seconds in difficult conditions in Kranjska Gora.

“It is a great feeling. It is not easy to stay at the top in any sport, especially in slalom. Pinturault had an advantage over me, but I kept faith till the end and it paid off as Alexis made a massive mistake,” said Kostelic after the win.
