Korea-Croatia Business Forum 2019 to take place on 24 Sep

ZAGREB, 17 September 2019 – The Korea-Croatia Business Forum 2019 will be held on Tuesday 24th September at 9:00 a.m. at the Hotel Esplanade in Zagreb under the organization of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Zagreb, the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Republic of Croatia, Public Procurement Service of the Republic of Korea, Croatian Chamber of Economy, Narodne Novine, Croatian-Korean Business Club and Korean Business Center Zagreb (KOTRA). 

This forum has been annually held in Zagreb since 2013 with the main aim of promoting partnerships between business people of Korea and Croatia. So far, themes such as energy, infrastructure, ICT, tourism and cosmetics were discussed during the previous years’ forums. 

This year, the forum will be focusing on developing cooperation between Korean and Croatian companies in the segment of public procurement with the theme “Sharing Experience in Public Procurement for Business Partnership”. It is expected for approximately 100 people from Korean and Croatian companies and institutions to join this years’ forum. This includes the Public Procurement Service of the Republic of Korea and 10 Korean companies from the sectors of ICT, medical devices, cosmetics, robotics, security etc. which will participate with the aim of finding new business partners and introducing their products into the Croatian and European markets. Additionally a number of Croatian companies and institutions who desire to enter the Korean and Asian markets will be participating. 

Registration for entering the forum will start at 9:00 a.m. on the 24th September at the Esplanade Hotel. After some welcoming remarks, experts from both Korea and Croatia will hold a variety of informative presentations about the public procurement system from both countries with topics such as “Korean Public Procurement Market Trends and Prospects”, “Croatian Public Procurement Market Trends and Prospects”, “Croatian Public Procurement Application Process”, “Korean Success Stories in Global Public Procurement” and “Entering the Croatian Public Procurement Sector through the Korean-Croatian Business Cooperation”. 

After presentation sessions are complete, there will be a networking luncheon. In the afternoon, between 13:00 and 17:30 o’clock, 1-on-1 business meetings will be held under organization of KOTRA Zagreb office.
