Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo donates respirators to Lika thanks to efforts of Croatian female athletes

ZAGREB, April 29 (Hina) – The Japanese company Uniqlo has donated 2,000 respirators to the civil protection authority in Lika-Senj County, owing to efforts by tennis player Iva Majoli, the authority said on Wednesday.

The campaign “Athletes for Zagreb” was launched by athletes Blanka Vlasic and Ivana Brkljacic and tennis player Iva Majoli, who encouraged their fellow athletes to raise funds to help Zagreb after the March 22 earthquake.

As part of the campaign they also decided to help Lika-Senj County to fight against COVID-19.

Iva Majoli said she hoped Lika would continue to fight successfully against the epidemic, and that the donation would help them.

“At this moment, the entire world is fighting against the pandemic and it is nice to know that there are people who have a big heart and are ready to help each other,” Majoli said and thanked “friends from Uniqlo”.
