Italian Media Praise Kovacic After Inter San Siro Debut

Croatian teenager Mateo Kovacic has shined on his home debut for Italian giants Inter Milan in their 2-0 win over CFR Cluj in the UEFA Europa League last night.

The Inter fans at the San Siro stadium gave the former Dinamo Zagreb midfielder a standing ovation as exited the match in the 88th minute. Kovacic played a part in the second goal of the match, putting Palcia through with a penetrating through ball. It was not only the fans impressed with Kovacic’s first match at home.

“The boy has all the qualities to be a leader. His personality is strong. His balls were accurate, and to top it off in his first game ever at the San Siro he creates an assists for Palacio. Very good debut”, wrote the most respected Italian sports daily La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
