Istrian ‘Kazun’ To Be Built In England’s Peak District National Park

A traditional stone shelter from the north-west region of Istria in Croatia will be built in England’s famous Peak Districts National Park in June as part of the Welcome Croatia festival programme in the UK.

The Istrian Kazun will be officially launched in the Peak Districts on 5 July. The projects drivers, Nenad Bicanic and architect and Kazun restorer Branko Orbanic, selected the Peak District National Park because of the long and rich tradition it has with dry stone wall constructions.
