ZAGREB, November 17, 2021 – Local design concept brand Mojati, in cooperation with Melt Gelato & Brunch bar, moved into the ‘fairytale’ shops at Kallina House at the intersection of Masarykova and Gundulićeva streets in Zagreb to design and present a special and interactive Advent calendar with 25 windows behind which the finest Melt artisan chocolates and fun daily challenges are hidden.

The Mojati x Melt Advent calendar comes in a limited edition of 200 pieces and is only available this holiday season, and consists of a total of 25 windows. Each of them hides an irresistible, handmade Melt chocolate in one of three different flavours – classic milk, rich dark and honey white.

“Behind each window there are small and simple challenges through which everyone will experience a real Christmas fairy tale this December. Each challenge behind the window is associated with the motifs printed on the chocolates. Some of the challenges are of a humanitarian nature, while some are very creative, and some of them are prize competitions through which numerous prizes can be won,” Mojati said, before adding.

“The Advent calendar is an ideal gift, because these irresistible chocolates with one bite will sweeten 24 days to Christmas. And on Christmas morning, the last window hides a gift – Mojati bracelet with a Zagreb motif as a souvenir of this Advent adventure.”

And why Kallina House? Namely, Josipa Kallina was the investor on whose order in 1904 the architect Vjekoslav Bastl designed this unique corner in downtown Zagreb.

Kalina is known for many things, most notably for her entrepreneurial endeavours. Kallina built an enviable career in Zagreb – she opened a fruit shop and a flower and seed store, and then a wine store. She is also known for making ceramic tiles and ceramic kilns.

It is these features of this corner that have served as inspiration for young designers of the Mojati brand. Kallina House often goes unnoticed by passers-by, so the design trio decided to breathe Christmas magic into it and place it in the centre of their Advent calendar, through the windows of which you can peek into this Art Nouveau building.

This is the second Mojati x Melt Advent calendar, and its limited edition can be purchased at the Melt gelato & brunch bar (Radićeva ulica 3A) and the Chocolate Museum (Varšavska ulica 5) or ordered via the official Mojati Instagram and Facebook or Melt Instagram and Facebook profiles. In addition to the Advent calendar, the ideal Christmas gift is Mojati bracelets with motifs of Nutcrackers, Clara and Christmas gingerbread.

About the Mojati brand

The Mojati brand concept was created in 2017, as a project of two best friends with big dreams and endless ideas whose goal today is to capture good vibes from all over the world and store them in one Mojati product. The founders of the brand are graduate architect Jelka Margarita Bogdanić and law student Ira Pećarević, and the team was later joined by designer Karlo Jelić. Today, Mojati is a recognised brand on the Croatian market with a loyal audience and big plans for the future.

About Melt Gelato & Brunch bar

Melt gelato and brunch bar opened in 2019, after its owner Lucia Cvitanić decided to leave America and Los Angeles, and returned to Zagreb to realise her dream. This is how she started her adventure in building a recognisable brunch place that offers healthy and fine gluten free and vegan snacks. In a couple of years, Melt has become an unavoidable place for everyone looking for a cozy atmosphere, dishes made from fresh seasonal ingredients from Dolac and local family farms, completely natural gelato without additives and stabilisers, and aromatic Cogito coffee.
