IKEA Receive 18,000 CV’s for Zagreb Vacancies

IKEA have reportedly received more than 18,000 CV’s for 250 job vacancies for their new Zagreb store which is set to open its doors later this Spring. Besides CV’s from Croatia, among the 18,000 were resumes from Germany, Austria and other nations in the region.

“In the first round of vacancies we received 8,500 CV’s, and in the second we got 9,500, everyone has an equal chance and we will have a few selection rounds,” said Igor Štefanac from IKEA Croatia.

Last month more than 15,000 people applied for jobs at Croatia’s largest privately owned company Agrokor. Currently there are over 350,000 jobless in the nation of just over 4 million.
