NK Osijek fought off Dinamo for an important draw that kept Osijek at the top of the table.
An attendance of 5,000 saw Tomislav Radotić score in the 11th minute for Osijek, but the lead was short lived thanks for a 15th minute goal from Soudani.

The two goals came only minutes apart, but were the only goals scored in Osijek this weekend. The teams split the points and Osijek remain on top while Dinamo is left searching for their first win and sit in sixth place.

Hajduk Split is also still in search of their first win after drawing crosstown rivals, RNK Split. The two teams finished the match with a scoreless draw in front of 12,000 at Poljud, but neither team were able to produce the needed offense to score.

The first half was played mainly in the middle of the field and lacked any sort of scoring opportunities. The second half saw more scoring opportunities, but none were able find the back of the net.

The match featuring Rijeka and Slaven Belupo turned into a scoring frenzy that ended with six goals scored from four different goal scorers.

Slaven went up 1-0 after Muzafer Ejuip scored in the ninth minute but the match was tied after Roman Bezjak scored in first half stoppage time.

Ejupi found the back of the net once again in the 48th minute for regain the lead, but for a second time, his goal was countered by Rijeka tying the match, this time from a goal scored by Bekim Balaj in the 67th minute. The real excitement started when Bezjak scored again in the 82nd minute and looked like Rijeka will be taking the match, but a last ditch effort by Slaven was rewarded with a goal in the goal in the 89th minute by Sandi Križman.

Lokomotiva put on a scoring clinic against Istra on Monday, scoring six goals from five different goal scorers.

The Lokosi are still riding their high after defeating Greece’s PAOK in the Europa League last week and gave Istra all they had, and won the match 6-1.

Goals from Ivan Fiolić, Karlo Brucić, Marko Kolar, Jan Doležal, and two from Damir Sovšić entertained the 500 fans at Kranjčevićeva. Lokomotiva and Istra are tied on points but sit in third and fourth place respectively.

NK Inter Zaprešić and NK Zagreb played to a close 1-1 draw this weekend.

Lovro Medić scored first for the Poets in the 30th minute, but Inter, who have shown their resiliency several times so far in this young season, scored in the 77th minute to salvage a point. Inter’s goal came from the young Macedonian, Ilija Nestorovski. Nestorovski was the top scorer in the Druga Liga last season, scoring 24 goals in 27 matches
