It was a mixed night for the two Croatian sides involved in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night…

NK Rijeka continued their dream run in Europe with a resounding 3-1 victory over Dutch side Feyenoord. All of Rijeka’s goals came courtesy of a hat-trick from Croatian international Andrej Kramarić.

“I am over the moon. Feyenoord were dominant the first half an hour, but the goal in the second half turned it around. I will remember this night for the rest of my career. This was a historic victory,” said the hat-trick hero.

Meanwhile Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Red Bull Salzburg, losing 4-2 after being down 4-0 after 52 minutes. (pic: Drago Sopta / HNS)
