Goverment To Finally Allow Foreign Company Names In Croatia

Croatian parliament today (Thursday) will confirm a law change which will finally allow companies registered in Croatia to have a foreign name.

Up until now, companies had to have their name in either Croatian, Greek, or Latin, but that is all about to change finally after today’s parliament sitting. The change, which will allow companies to be named in foreign languages, is expected to also avoid current problems where companies select a standard name only to find the name or something similar already registered in court records leaving companies with limited choices.
