Something for Harry Potter fans in Croatia’s mountainous region of Gorski Kotar next month.
For the third year in a row, the stunning Stara Sušica castle in Gorski Kotar, which is located around 65 kilometers from Rijeka and 105 kilometers from Zagreb, will be the scene of a live-action role-playing game inspired by Harry Potter, Harry Dresden, Peter Grant and other urban fantasy wizards with more than a pinch of Slavic mythology thrown in.
Organised by the Ministry of Magic Croatia, the Secret of the School of Magic will be held at Stara Sušica castle in Gorski Kotar from 10-11 August 2019.
The Secret of the School of Magic is based on Croatian myths, legends and folklore, as well as cultural and natural diversity. Except for a handful of lectures, children also attend metrology training. The main aim of the school is to have kids entertained and to tech them Harry Potter’s magic world through the prism of some important life lessons, Journal.hr writes.
“An epic magical struggle between good and evil. You’ll find yourself immersed in a live action role-playing game in which you will have to use your wits, skills and magic to solve numerous mysteries and overcome challenges that will stand in your way. But fear not! Your magic wand and spells await you, along with a story you will help create and tell by your decisions and actions,” organisers described.
