Good News For eBay Shoppers In Croatia

It is not only mobile roaming charges in Croatia which have just got cheaper today. Internet shoppers in Croatia on eBay or any other online shop will no longer have to pay customs duties on parcels coming in to the country from other EU nations.

“When goods are purchased from nations that are members of the EU, customs and VAT will not be paid on the goods”, confirmed the Ministry of Finance on their website on Monday.

The Ministry also confirmed that customs and VAT will be exempt for goods purchased from nations outside the EU up to the value of 22 euros (except alcohol, tobacco and perfume). Packages valued between 22 euros and 150 euros will be exempt from customs duties, but VAT will be charged. Packages valued more than 150 euros will be charged both customs and VAT.
