Girl Dies At Party Of Ex Croatian Miss’ Sister

Josip Nikic (33), is in custody today, and his partner, model Mateja Hohnjec (25), sister of former Miss Sport Croatia Stefany Hohnjec (pic), has been released after a 20-year-old female from Zagreb reportedly died from a drug overdose at a party at the couples flat on the weekend.

Croatian media reported that police arrested Nikic and Hohnjec for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act. A criminal investigation continues as police piece together events of the evening.

Croatian daily newspaper Jutarnji reports that the young victim suddenly took a turn at around 10pm at the party and Nikic took her into her apartment next door, where he called emergency services. ambulance staff could not do anything, as it was too late to help the deceased victim.
