Game Of Thrones To Film On Makarska Riviera

Filming for the new season of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones will take place on the Makarska Riviera, reports the Makarska Chronicle.

After Dubrvonik, and recently Split were confirmed as filming locations for the 4th season, the Baska Voda council on Makarska’s Riviera have confirmed that the HBO crew have visited the area and are interested in shooting scenes on Greben above Baska Voda, in Kacic castle and in the Turkish tower above Promajna.

“Negotiations are in progress, although it is likely that filming will take place in our municipality. We are expecting three hundred extras to arrive, which is an extremely important thing not just because of promotion, but because their visit will extend our tourist season,” said the Makarska council.
