Fifty Shades of Grey – Best Cinema Opening in Croatian History

Croatia has also been swept up in the worldwide hype for Fifty Shades Of Grey, with the film earning 2,237,565 kuna (290.000 euros) in its opening weekend, a record in Croatia. In Croatia 66,545 people have watched the film since it opened at cinemas across the country on Thursday. The film, which traces the relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey and is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes, has earned close to 240 million dollars around the world since opening.

Shot in Vancouver, the film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.
