Tourists are usually drawn to the top attractions when they visit a new country. Now there is a handy map to help tourists out.
Using the top ranking of the ‘Things to Do’ page on TripAdvisor, Vouchercloud has published an informative map featuring every country’s top tourist attraction. The top-ranked is determined from the amalgamation of millions of reviews.
Croatia’s top tourist attraction was fairly predictable – the Old Town Walls of Dubrovnik. More than 18,000 people reviewed them with 76% leaving a 5-star rating.
Out of 197 countries on the map, 76 natural attractions were the No.1. In 54 countries historic attractions were the top, whilst in 29 countries religious attractions were the top draw.
As well as naming the top tourist attraction in each country, the map is colour-coded, highlighting if it is a historic (Great Wall of China), religious (Church) or a regular tourist spot (Central Park).
In the United States, Central Park was the top attraction, in Canada it is the Niagara Falls and in Australia, it is the Sydney Harbour.
