European Powerboat of the Year Built in Croatia

CroatiaThe Elan Power 30, built by Elan Motoryachts in Obrovac near Zadar on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, has won a 2014 European Powerboat of the Year Award in Germany…

The Elan Power 30 took out the European Powerboat of the Year Award in the up to 35 feet category in Düsseldorf on the weekend. Boats in the up to 35 feet class must be able to demonstrate practical solutions, good workmanship and safe handling on all waters, and the Slovenian-owned company based in Croatia beat off 23 other boats in the category thanks to what the jury described as its ‘minimalist design’ and ‘high-level usability’.

Each year Europe’s best in the boating industry are rewarded with the “Oscars of watersports“. The expert judging panel consists of editors-in-chief of Europe’s top seven motorboat magazines from Norway, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Every year, a rough 200 new boats emerge on the market.
