Employers Not Paying Salaries to be Named and Shamed on May Day

CroatiaCroatia’s Labour Mirando Mrsić has announced on Thursday that employers in Croatia who do not regularly pay their staff on time will be named and shamed on 1 May…

The Ministry will publish the ‘black list’ on its website on May Day, a celebration of workers rights, with the criteria for making the list – not paying staff three months in a row or only making three payments in a six month period. It has been widely reported that between 70,000 and 80,000 workers in Croatia do not receive their salaries regularly, but the list will reveal the exact numbers when it is published.
