Dubrovnik Tourists Face Fines for Walking Streets in Swimwear

1
Be careful if you are walking around Dubrovnik’s famous old town this summer…

A new bylaw introduced this year in Dubrovnik mean that tourists who are topless or wearing swimwear on the streets of the historic old town will be fined of up to £250. There will be sigs at 3 entrances into the town – at Pile, Ploče and Buža – and anybody ignoring them will face being fines, reports daily Slobodna Dalmacija.

After a few dress code ‘incidents’ over the past few seasons on Dubrovnik’s famous Stradun strip, the local authority has decided to regulate “good behaviour” for tourists and residents alike by introducing on the spot fines.
