Dubrovnik Drink-Driver Sets Record – 7 Times Over Legal Limit

CroatiaA 46-year-old man in Dubrovnik has set a drink-driving record in Dalmatia after blowing more than 7 times the legal limit. The man  was breathalysed after being stopped by police after driving erratically near Kupari on the Adriatic highway. The driver, who had been driving his VW Golf with the door half-open, was then breathalysed by police and proceeded to blow a Dalmatian record – 4.25.  The legal limit in Croatia is .5. After sobering up at the Dubrovnik police station, the man, who is a carpenter by trade, copped a 1,000 EUR fine and has lost his license for 18 months, reported daily Slobodna Dalmacija.
