Dario Šarić Creates Croatian History as he is Named in NBA All-Rookie First Team

Philadelphia 76ers forward Dario Šarić has created Croatian history by becoming the first player to be named in the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Šarić who averaged 12.8 points, 6.3 rebounds per game and had 106 3-pointers in his first NBA season, was a unanimous choice in the NBA All-Rookie First Team which was named ahead of the NBA Awards in New York tonight.

The 23-year-old Croatian also had 10 doubles-doubles and 14 20-point games during the 2016-17 season.

He also featured in the Rising Stars Challenge during the All-Star Weekend and was named Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for games played in February and March.

Šarić was also a finalist in the NBA Rookie of the Year award, however, that title went to Milwaukee Bucks’ Malcom Brogdon.
