KARLOVAC – One of Croatia’s most beloved and longest-running festivals, Karlovac Beer Days (Dani piva), returns this summer from 29 August to 2 September, promising five days of good beer, great music, delicious food and lively entertainment.

Held for the 38th time, this iconic event has become a staple of the late summer season in continental Croatia.

Organised by the City of Karlovac and sponsored by Karlovačko beer, the festival attracts thousands of visitors from across the country and beyond.

This year, a half-litre of freshly poured Karlovačko will be available for just €2.50.

The main stage will host a packed line-up of popular performers including Psihomodo Pop, Vatra, Vanna, BabyLasagna, Klapa Intrade, Plavi Orkestar, Neno Belan & Fiumens, and many more. Kicking things off on the opening night are rising rap star Peki and the legendary Psihomodo Pop, followed by Vanna, widely regarded as one of Croatia’s strongest vocal talents.

Festivalgoers can also enjoy the Open Doors Day at the Karlovac Brewery on 29 August. Guided tours will run every hour from 10 AM to 5 PM, offering a behind-the-scenes look at one of Croatia’s most historic breweries, with over 170 years of tradition.

Visitors can also explore the exhibition “Karlovac’s Fifth River: The Story of Karlovačko Beer” at Aquatika until 2 September.

The festival promotes responsible enjoyment, with 18+ wristbands handed out to younger adults to ensure alcohol is served only to those of legal age. Drinks will be served in eco-friendly recyclable cups, with visitors able to exchange 10 used cups for a free Karlovačko.

Beer lovers can sample 14 European beer brands rarely found in Croatia, while hearty food options, including signature giant pretzels, will be on offer under the big tent. The festival also features beer-themed workshops, quizzes, table football tournaments, and more.
