Croatia’s Government Most Prolific In Europe On Twitter

Croatia’s government is the most prolific European government on Twitter, according to research from website Twiplomacy.com

Croatia’s government twitter account was 3rd in the world behind Dominican Republic and Venezuela when it came to the most active world government twitter accounts. The Croatian government ‘tweeted’ the most out of any European government, and more than the White House, Barack Obama, the European Commission and the UK Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

When it came to interacting with Twitter users, Croatia was along side Fiji and Austria and the most communicative in the world. The Croatian government ‘tweets’ around 33 times a day, with around half of those ‘tweets’ replies to other users ‘tweets’. Twiplomacy’s research has US President Barack Obama with the most amount of ‘followers’ with more than 34 million, Croatia’s government has over 16,000 followers.
