Top Croatian heavyweight MMA fighter, Ante Delija, will fight tonight for one million dollars.

Delija will face Bruno Cappelozza in the heavyweight final of the third season of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in Hollywood, Florida on Wednesday night.

Delija, who beat Russian Denis Goltsov in the semi-final, fought Cappelozza in the opening round. On that occasion, the Brazilian knocked out Delija in the first round.

A victory tonight in the final though will see the Croatian earn a cool one million dollars. At the weigh-ins yesterday, Delija weighed 110 kilograms, 3 kilograms heavier than his opponent.

The bookies have the Brazilian as a 1.45 favourite over Delija who is paying 2.50.

Originally from Dubrovnik, Delija trains with Mirko Cro Cop Filipović and his team in Zagreb. Back in September 2020, Delija signed a contract with the UFC.

He was due to make his debut on October 17 at an event at fight island in Abu Dhabi but the fight was withdrawn from the card because of Delija did not get the termination of the contract by the PFL.

Now in its third season, the PFL is the first and only to present MMA in the sports-season format where individual fighters compete in Regular Season, Playoffs, and Championship.

Where to watch

The finals start at 8 p.m. ET with the main card on ESPN2. The finals will take place from 2 a.m.- 5 a.m. Croatian time and will be broadcast live on ArenaSport 2.
