Croatian Kids Impress Scouts At Euro

After out playing Italy in their opening match of the U-17 European Championship in Slovakia, the large number of scouts in attendance have reportedly been impressed with individuals in the Croatian side.

The 0-0 score-line flattered Italy but coach Ivan Gudelj was satisfied that his side did not open their Euro campaign with a loss. Croatia had plenty of chances to secure victory and their performance has already seen them been given an early favourites tag for the tournament.

“Excuse me, who is that player wearing number 8 (Ante Rogulic),” one Italian scout was heard asking during the match. Rogulic and Dinamo Zagreb’s young star Alen Halilovic impressed scouts from Italian giants Milan, Juventus, Roma and other large clubs around the world who were in the stands. Croatia now face Russia on Wednesday in their second match of the tournament.
