A TV film inspired by real events from the Croatian Homeland War in the 1990’s has started shooting on location in Zagreb. Number 55 (Broj 55), is directed by award-winning director Kristijan Milić, and will hit television screens in Croatia and abroad next year.
“We believe it will be an excellent work and that there will be a lot of interest for it, both in Croatia and abroad,” Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) said to Filmneweurope.com.
The film, which will cost a reported 853,000 euros to complete, recounts events from a reconnaissance mission undertaken by a group of Croatian soldiers attacked by Serbs during the 1991 war. The is script written by Ivan Pavličić with the television premier on HRT set for summer 2014 on HRT.
