Croatian Fish Company Gets Import Licence For Russia

Croatian company Cromaris, which specialises in breeding, selling and processing fish, has been put on the list of companies that can import into Russia by the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision.

The procedure for obtaining a permit to import ish into Russia is complex, and the permit now opens up a huge market for the Zadar based company.

Cromaris currently produces about three thousand tons of fish per year from farms in Pasman and in Istria, with a new facility about to be put into operation, reports Slobodna Dalmacija.

“We are planning to increase production to 5000 tons per year in the next two years, and in 2017 we should reach production of up to 7000 tons per year. For that we need new markets,” explains marketing director Julijan Matulina.
