Croatian communities abroad invited to apply for project funding

Croatia announces flag bearers for Olympic Games in Tokyo

The Central State Office for Croats Abroad is inviting non-profit Croatian diaspora organisations to apply for funding for projects for the year 2023.

The Central State Office for Croats Abroad has been implementing the Support Program for Croatian Communities Abroad since 2012, which was enhanced in 2019 with the adoption of a new internal legal act.

These Rules provide the opportunity for Croatian diaspora organisations from countries where Croatian communities operate (a total of 29 countries) to apply for programs/projects funding. They also clearly define the conditions, criteria, and procedures for the allocation and use of funds from the Office to organisations of the Croatian diaspora.

Organisations of the Croatian diaspora (associations, foundations, institutions, religious communities, and other organisations) engaged in activities eligible for funding and promoting beliefs and goals that are not contrary to the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Croatia or the legal order of their home country are eligible to apply.

These organisations should also be registered in the registry or other appropriate records of their home country and have legal personality.

The application documentation can be submitted by registered mail, email, or by directly delivering the documentation to the addresses of the embassies responsible for the country to which the Public Call pertains.

The deadline for submitting applications begins on the day of the publication of the Public Call on the official websites of the relevant embassies of the Republic of Croatia or the Office and lasts for 30 days from the date of publication, ending on October 6, 2023.

Additional information can be obtained by calling the following phone numbers: +3851/6444-662, +3851/6444-692 or by emailing: [email protected].
