Croatian canoeist Emil Milihram becomes European champion for 6th time

16 May 2019 – Croatian canoeist Emil Milihram has become the European champion for the sixth time on Wednesday. 

Milihram won the gold medal in the C1 classic race at the 2019 ECA Wildwater canoeing European Championships in Soča Valley, Slovenia yesterday. 

The victory means Milihram has become European champion for the sixth time. He also is a 6-time world champion.

Milihram (36) was born in Varaždin where he started his career in the sport, and for the last few years he has been a member of KKK “Končar” in Zagreb. 

The Croatian team in the 3XC1 event, which featured Milihram, Luka Obadić and Ivan Tolić, won the bronze medal on Thursday.
