Croatia will meet Germany in the final round of 16 at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile…

Croatia will face the European vice-champions on Thursday 29 October in Concepcion. Croatia are in good form, beating the current World Champions Nigeria to qualify for the knockout phase. Croatia were unbeaten in their group, drawing with Chile and USA in their opening two matches.

“We have prepared well and showed out worth so far. We are going for what we came for, and that is a medal. That is all that interests us,” said Croatia’s star player Nikola Moro, who has been compared at the World Cup to Luka Modrić.

Germany will go into the match as favourites, but Croatia will be confident after their win over the World Champions on Friday.
