Croatia reports 2 new cases in the last 24 hours, active cases drop to 216

ZAGREB, May 16, 2020 – There have been 2 new COVID-19 cases reported in Croatia in the last 24 hours, the national crisis management team said in a statement on Saturday. 

Today’s new cases bring the total tally of cases to 2,224. The new cases were reported in the Grad Zagreb and Karlovac counties.

There have been no COVID-19-related fatalities in the last 24 hours. The current death toll stands at 95.

There have been 1,913 recoveries to date, 44 more than yesterday. This means there are currently 216 known active cases. There are 137 people currently in hospital, 5 less than yesterday, with 9 patients currently on a ventilator.

Since late February, Croatia has conducted 52,425 tests, including 857 in the last 24 hours.
