Croatia Number 1 Holiday Choice For Slovakians

Croatia is the number one holiday destination for Slovakians this year, according to a poll by GfK Slovakia.

Croatia is the most popular destination with around 25% of Slovaks planning to spend their summer holidays there this year. Croatia is the number one choice by some distance with the Czech Republic in second place with 11% planning to holiday there. After the Czech Republic comes Italy and Bulgaria with 9% and 8% respectively choosing those destinations for their summer holidays.

Most Slovaks will come to Croatia by car, followed by charter flights. Last year there were 337,400 Slovak tourists in Croatia, up 0.7% from the previous year and it is expected that the number will increase by at least 0.5% this year.
