Croatia names team for Davis Cup tennis final against France

Croatian Davis Cup tennis coach Željko Krajan has announced his team for the final against France today. 

Krajan named his 5-man squad today for the Davis Cup final against France in Lille from 23-25 November 2018. 

The team is – Marin Čilić, Borna Ćorić, Mate Pavić, Ivan Dodig and Franko Škugor. 

The final, which will be the last in the current format of the Davis Cup, is Croatia’s third.

13 years ago Croatia won the Davis Cup beating Slovakia in the final 3-0 thanks to wins from Ivan Ljubičić and Mario Ančić. Two years ago Croatia were runners-up after being beaten in Zagreb by Argentina. 

French coach Yannick Noah has been handicapped with by the withdrawal of his number one player Richard Gasquet through injury. 

It is uncertain who will join Lucas Pouille, Jeremy Chardy, Nicolas Mahut, Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the French team for the final.
