Croatia Airlines will operate international flights between Dubrovnik and Frankfurt during its winter schedule.

Three weekly flights between Dubrovnik and Frankfurt will start on October 29 and run until March 30 next year. There will be a brief break in the second half of January, as well as the second half of February of next year, EX-YU Aviation reported.

This represents a notable advancement from Croatia Airlines’ typical winter services departing from Dubrovnik, which were previously limited to domestic flights exclusively bound for Zagreb.

Croatia Airlines had its last flight connection between Dubrovnik and Frankfurt in 2019. Nevertheless, during the winter season of 2012/13, it showcased a more extensive route system from the coastal city.

Alongside Frankfurt and Zagreb, Croatia Airlines established connections between Dubrovnik and Paris, Rome, and Zurich. In the span of January to July, Dubrovnik Airport managed 1,317,483 passengers, marking an impressive 18.2% growth compared to the previous year. Despite this progress, the figures are still 16.3% lower than the pre-pandemic levels of 2019.

Croatia Airlines anticipates by the year’s end, approximately 2.5 million passengers will be served, matching their figures from 2018.
