Brazilians and Koreans This Summer’s Surprise Packages in Croatia

hvar (2)Germans are still Croatia’s number one visitors, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Tourism on Monday.

Whilst Germans topping the list is no surprise, the surprise packages this tourist season in Croatia has been the Brazilians and the Koreans. In 2012 39,000 Brazilians overnighted in Croatia, this year that number jumped to 64,350, a jump of 65%. The Koreans also recorded considerable growth – with arrivals up 40% from last year. Visitor numbers from the UK, France and Poland again were very impressive. The Ministry also announced on Monday that the worst case scenario will be a 2% growth in income generated this year from tourism. It is likely to be more than that with reports of near full capacity in some destinations on the coast in September and October.
