ZAGREB, 21 September 2021 – The best restaurants and chefs in Croatia for 2021 have been awarded at the Dobri Restorani awards last night at Zagreb’s Esplanade hotel.
The awards, now in their 10th year, are organised by leading Croatian daily newspaper Jutarnji list and magazine Dobra hrana. The main partner sponsors this year were the Croatian National Tourist Board and Badel 1862.
Awards were given this year to restaurants in four categories: Best Traditional Restaurant, Best Fine Dining Restaurant, Best High Category Hotel Restaurant and Best Creative Urban Cuisine Restaurant.
Best Traditional Restaurant

2. Zijavica – Mošćenička Draga
3. Kod špilje – Otruševec
Best Fine Dining Restaurant
1. ManO – Zagreb
2. Pelegrini – Šibenik
3. Nav – Zagreb
Best High Category Hotel Restaurant
1. Alfred Keller (Alhambra) – Mali Lošinj
2. Zinfandel’s (Esplanade) – Zagreb
3. Cap Aureo (Grand Park) – Rovinj
Best Creative Urban Cuisine Restaurant
1. Mali bar – Zagreb
2. Ignis – Korčula
3. Kut – Zagreb
The title of “Chef of the Year” went to Nav’s Tvrtko Šakota.
Other awards given on the night included “Wine Card of the Year” which went to Bevanda in Opatija, while the “Andrej Barbieri” award for best rising young chef went to Eugen Žinić from ManO.
