ZAGREB, May 6 (Hina) – Austria is the seventh country to have offered Croatia assistance requested through the EU civil protection mechanism after an earthquake that hit Zagreb on March 22.

The aid offered by Austria, consisting of 200,000 pairs of protective gloves and 1,680 litres of disinfectants, was delivered to the logistic centre in Jastrebarsko near Zagreb on Wednesday, the Croatian Civil Protection Directorate said.

After the March 22 quake, Croatia requested EU assistance in equipment, to help people affected by the quake, and protective medical gear to help protect the population from the novel coronavirus.
