Croatia are about to battle with German for the services of teenage football prodigy Tino Istvanic. The 17-year-old dual Croatian and German citizen was named in the German U18 national side, and the Croatian football federation want him, sending him an invitation to join a camp in Croatia for the Croatia youth team.
Portal Index.hr reports that Tino, who plays for Union in the German second division, is being targeted by English giants Arsenal and Chelsea.
“Arsenal and Chelsea want him, and Hertha Berlin have watched him and are interested, but Tino still has a contract with Union,” said his manager Kristijan Lopac.
The 183cm midfielder was born and raised in Germany but has Croatian citizenship.
