Ante Gotovina’s Text Message Plays Part In France Victory

Croatian handball coach Slavko Goluza says that a SMS message he got from Croatian general Ante Gotovina just before his team played France in the quarter-final at the World Handball Championships, played a part in the victory which sent Croatia into a semi-final match-up with Denmark tonight.

“Dear friend, dear guys, you defend the colours of the homeland tonight on the parquet (floor). Knowledge and heart you have, just be brave to reach your goal. We are with you, Ante Gotovina and family,” read the message that the recently freed general sent to Goluza and the team, reports Vecernji list.

“We were fired up before the match, but after that message there was an eruption,” said Goluza.
