Buenos Aires to host big meeting of South American Croatians

26 September 2019 – Buenos Aires will play host to the 5th meeting of South American Croatians from 28-30 November 2019. The meeting will take place at the Kirchner Cultural Centre and at Hotel Panamericano.
The Argentine-Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising the 5th meeting of South American Croatians where representatives from businesses in South America and the Republic of Croatia will take part. Croatian government delegates will also be present at the meeting.
In Buenos Aires, there will be a two-day roundtable on trade and investment, identity, language and university bilateral co-operation and the return of expatriates to Croatia. Prominent experts will lead presentations of two panels on the following topics:
Socio-cultural panels (Croatian identity and culture)
– Croatian identity and culture
– Citizenship and returning to Croatia
– Diaspora associations and institutions in South America
– Youth programs
– HRT diaspora programmes
– HSK Croatian World Games
Economic and Trade Panels
– Trade between Croatia and South America. Factors and future challenges.
– Tourism and opportunities for South American agencies
– Real Estate in Croatia. Investment opportunities for the diaspora.
– Entrepreneurship in Croatia and IT boom
On Thursday 28 November, a cultural evening, open to the public, will be held at the Kirchner Cultural Centre, where all forms of Croat culture in Buenos Aires will be demonstrated. On Saturday the 30th there are a variety of recreational activities to choose from, and in the evening a tango show, where guests will enjoy with empanadas and wine together.
Three days of intense work and social relations with policies needed to strengthen the diaspora of the region and to diversify connections with civil and political society awaits.
The Argentine-Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is in charge of organising this event and enjoys the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia and the State Office for Croats outside Croatia.
